How to remove Google CalDAV

If you're like me, and wasn't satisfied with the sync provided by Google CalDAV, then here's a way to get rid of it since Google doesn't seem to have any information on how to do it. It is actually easier than you think.

Step 1
Open iCal. Click on the iCal drop-down menu and then click on Preferences (or you can click ). You're probably be in the General options section.

Step 2
Click on the Accounts button to display the CalDAV accounts for your Google calendars that you are subscribed to.

Step 3
Select one of the CalDAV accounts that you want to remove from the list in the Accounts section on the left.

Step 4
Press the minus ( – ) button below the Accounts section to remove the selected calendar.

Step 5
Confirm that you want to remove the calendar by pressing 'Delete.'

Step 6
Unfortunately you can't hold the Control key and select multiple accounts to remove at the same time do you will need to repeat Steps 3, 4 and 5 for each calendar you want to remove.

And now you're free of Google CalDAV syncing!

Thanks for the help. I too have been disappointed with Google's CalDAV support. I literally have no money to spend on Spanning Sync, but during it's trial I found it was the best solution (though not perfect) for syncing my calendars. I do have an iPhone and have loved accessing all of my calendar information wherever I am.

Alright... Googles CalDAV-support might not be perfect, but if you found yourself wanting push to your iPhone this might still be the only solution (unless you have a server of your own).
I have the following setup:
(1) iPhone syns via ActiveSync to www.nuevasync.com which connects to Google and give me support for multiple calendars
(2) Macbook with iCal - connects to CalDAV
(3) Mini with iCal - connects to CalDAV.

I used to use Fruux for computer sync between (2) and (3), ordinary sync between iPhone and Mini. There was no way to integrate Google Cal into this system unless I paid for either BusySync or SS.

If you have a better way, please tell me. The only thing I don't like is that I can't move a meeting between calendars in iCal or iPhone and that I got a lot of labels in iCal.
